The Absent Bishop Press

I got the first two editions of the Bishop Press, then it stopped arriving. A few other people who live in other areas of Bish have told me they don't get it either.

Who does get it then?

Anarchy in Bish

Yeah she broke the rules a bit. We've all been there. You need to pop in Morrisons and you're only gonna be five minutes. The time it takes you to go and get a ticket from the machine, you could be in and out of the shop. So you bump it.

Busted!

She sent a letter to the council with the cheque for the fine and a copy of the receipt which had the time of 13.04 on it, asking for a little compassion since she was only in the shop a few minutes, and it was her birthday as well.

They took the coin! Well if you let one off with it, you'll have them all doin it!

You can't fight the jobsworths!

Interesting Social Shift

Friday nights down the town used to be the busiest night. Saturdays more for your olds and couples.

Now Saturday night is the busiest. (Thursday's probably just as busy but it's pure charvtastic!)

The pubs and clubs are the same on Saturday as on Friday.

So who was it that said that Saturday should be the top night, and everybody follow them over?

Technology is your friend

I'm going to try to open your mind a bit. If you run a local club, or you plan events around Bishop Auckland then I could build you a webpage as part of my site. So if you want to promote your events or post photo's of your past events, instead of havin to wait until you've printed your posters and flyers, or for the newspaper to run your story and distribute the papers.
